Energy vortex ?
When I stand out in the sun and close my eyes, I see numerous blackish dots rushing towards a kind of a vortex. Like energy particles rushing from lower concentration to higher concentration, which is in contradiction to conventional laws of physics. I see this against a bright, deep red background.

About this blog
I believe that there are latent faculties in all of us by means of which we can aquire the knowledge of the higher worlds. This blog is about my personal experiences of what I would call the ‘twilight zone’. Let me make it clear before hand that this blog is not about the much sensationalised ‘paranormal’ or ‘occult’ phenomenon that one often comes across in a lot of the material available under theses topics. This is a very rational attempt to explore the not so common experiences that some of us have in the course of our lifetime. This little known aspect of human existence has been so abused and made a mockery of that I hesitate to talk about my own experiences with the people around me out of the fear of being mocked or labeled as a ‘nut case’. I hope that through this blog I am able to meet and discuss my experiences with other ’sensitive’ people around the world who may have had similar experiences.

Wow, this entry surprised me too. When I go from a dark room and sleeping to a bright room with my eyes closed (for example, the bathroom), I see a swirling vortex pattern. Not sure if it’s the same as yours and haven’t noticed it outside, though I will try. I assume this has a biological explanation, and in my case, the pattern seems to be missing from central vision, so I’m wondering if it’s an illusion from the capillaries on the retina, akin to the blue field entoptic effect.

I see, what you have described as ‘a swirling pattern’, when I am tired or fasting. What I see are similar to the ripples in a pond which appear in concentric circles when you throw a stone in the water. The ripples I see, are light blue in colour and luminiscent. There could be a physiological explaination to this. But this happens only when I close my eyes indoors and is different from that described in the above post.
